About
Hailing from the dirty south, Atlanta, GA! Home of the Atlanta Braves, southern hospitality, and down home southern cookin’. Dennis’ driving career began when he received his drivers license in 1990. He began autocrossing in his 1984 VW Jetta GLI modified with period correct parts (Neuspeed, Autotech, Suspension Techniques, Fittipaldi, Autopower). From autocrossing VW’s, he transitioned into road racing early BMWs (2002s, E21 323i, and M635i) during SCCA Improved Touring and BMW CCA events in the southeast. He was first exposed to drifting at a drift event in Florida where he piloted his turbocharged S14 240sx.
Since then, he has drifted his original BMW 2002 in various east coast competitions, competed in the NOPI Drift series, and now flies the Team Konig/Kenda flag in his supercharged VQ35-powered S14 in the Formula Drift series. Aside from cars, Dennis is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a member of the Georgia Tech Motorsports FSAE team. Upon graduation, he began his professional career at Boeing Aeronautics. Then he moved to Columbus, OH to work for Honda of America as a Durability Engineer in the Engine Development Group.
Dennis currently resides in Southern California with his girlfriend and their two dogs as a Powertrain Engineer at Hyundai Kia America Technical Center.
